PIJIP Attorney Meredith Jacob to Host Webinar on Copyright, Fair Use, and the Creation of OER
PIJIP Attorney and Public Lead Meredith Jacob has partnered with the State Educational Technology Directors Association () to lead an upcoming webinarÌýtitledÌý The webinar will be held on February 15, 2022, at 2pm EST.
The session is intended forÌýusers and creators of Open Educational Resources (OER) who want a deeper dive on questions that come up in creating, adapting, and remixing. It will cover topics such as how to incorporate third party content, like quotes, illustrations, and video clips into OER, including in contexts like assessment and student-led activities.ÌýJacob will share the Best Practices in Fair Use for OER and discuss how that resource can be useful to provide guidance to content specialists, instructional designers, and classroom teachers.
The webinar is part of the SETDA ÌýSpotlight webinar series, and are open to registrants beyond the SETDA community.Ìý
